Sociology 699J: Surveys in Developing Countries  

National Sample Surveys

The National Sample Survey (NSS) is a periodic sample survey of the entire country collecting more detailed demographic and economic data. Different surveys ("rounds") focus on different topics. We will be using primarily the 55th round conducted between July 1999 and June 2000.
