Types of inequality: wealth

This is a "stock" measure of accumulated assets you now own. How well we live is affected not just by our income each year but by what we own and can fall back on. It usually includes:

homes you own (typically 30% of all households' wealth).
businesses & other real estate owned (20-30%).
stocks & bonds (15-30%).
savings accounts and other liquid assets (15-20%).
